“Our Place in Time,” The Lewisburg Living History Exhibit, gives
us the opportunity to explore not only the history of our town, but gives us
reason to explore the history outside of our boundaries that has led us down
the road to what and who we are today.
This history covers many things, from family connections to economic
opportunity. Over the next year, this
regular newspaper feature will explore this expanded history as “Our Place in
Time” celebrates THE TIES THAT BIND.
Journey with us as we discover interesting facts about such things as
our first circulating library, our first toll road, and the beginning of our
telephone service. Meet people from our
past – doctors, farmers, lawyers and parents - that lived, worked and raised
their families in the Lewisburg area.

These
histories will become a permanent part of the Lewisburg Living History
Exhibit, located in the Lobby of City Hall.
They will provide the foundation for stories of people who live and
work here today – people who continue to make contributions to our home place
and its future. You can contribute by
sharing your stories with us. We
would love to learn about your life’s experiences, the history of your family
and your vision for the future.
Contact us if you have a story to share.
